A marsh naturalist paddle, led by Emilie Clark, will take place on July 31st at 9:00 AM in the marsh to the south of the Ryefield Brook bridge on Rt 109. Registration required. Join member and naturalist Emilie Clark for an aquatic plant species tour of the marsh. Emilie has been studying this special place for decades and has deep knowledge of the plants and animals that live in this ecosystem. It will be a leisurely and informative paddle through the marsh. Plan to spend an hour or two in your vessel with Emilie, plus paddle time to and from your launch site. Bring your PDF, sunscreen, bug repellent and water. If you are bringing your boat from another lake, please remember to clean, drain and dry it before launching in Lake Wentworth. Meet up by the bridge near Ryefield Marsh and Gene’s Beach. In the event of questionable weather, you will be contacted around 7:30 AM, so please register with a phone number where we can reach at that time.
