The mission of the Wentworth Watershed Association is to protect and preserve the Wentworth-Crescent Watershed through initiatives that enhance water quality, land conservation, and community education.

This Strategic Plan was approved and adopted by the Board of Directors of the Wentworth Watershed Association on December 8th, 2023.
Strategic Plan: 2024-2026
STRATEGIC GOALS
Goal 1: PROTECT WATER QUALITY
Protect water quality within the Wentworth-Crescent watershed. The Association works with watershed property owners and users, volunteers, the town of Wolfeboro, state agencies, and other non-profits and stakeholders to implement best management practices and reduce threats to water quality.
Goal 2: EXPAND LAND CONSERVATION EFFORTS
Expand land conservation efforts to protect sensitive and strategic lands within the watershed. The Association conserves land to protect water quality within the Wentworth Crescent Watershed while also protecting natural habitats, wildlife, and viewsheds, and, where appropriate, supporting recreational and educational uses.
Goal 3: INCREASE WATERSHED STEWARDSHIP THROUGH EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATIONS
Build a shared understanding and responsibility for water quality by educating the watershed community through regular communications and learning opportunities. By disseminating knowledge of watershed science and promoting environmental literacy we will encourage present and future generations to take responsible action to protect the natural resources of the watershed. Education is the number one conservation strategy to change human behavior.
