The official declaration is in: the ice is out! On 3/17 at 5:15 pm, all shores were deemed free of ice. Ice out came early this year, being the earliest one on record since the contest has been held, dating back to 1972. Congratulations to Kelly Keenan with their closest guess of 3/17 at 4:00 pm! A special thanks to Bobbi Boudman for monitoring Warren Sands and all other official ice out team members. We appreciate everyone’s hard work and cooperation during an especially early ice out year.
