The wind gods were smiling for the sailboat race. The wind was not too strong, not to light, it was just right. Lots of people enjoyed the race from their boats but other from their volunteer positions at the “stake boats” which made sure people went around the buoys properly. Others watched from the shores. The color on the lake was spectacular!
The course started at Albee Beach, went around Bass Island and then to a buoy to the SE of Cate Island. Then, the boats sailed toward Triggs and finally back to Albee Beach. The photos are from where the boats made the turn SE of Cate Island.
Approaching the first buoy……. A blaze of color.

The race is sponsored by the New Hampshire Boat Museum, the Town of Wolfeboro and the LWA. Lots of volunteers made it all happen. They included people in boats, people at registration, people setting the course and all the “crew” who helped the sailors get ready for the race. The results are after a few pictures.
