The boat parade was blast and was well attended despite the rain delay. Approximately fifty boats lined up on Lake Wentworth in front of Camp Bernadette at 10 am, on July 5th when parade leader, Tom Ouhrabka, blasted his air horn. The boats started at the southeast end of the lake and went clockwise past the Sisters, Mink, Triggs and then back around Cate to the start.
Members, guest and visitors watched and cheered on the boats from Albee Beach, and from shores and docks around the lake. The parade was graced by the floating band who played patriotic music as the boats paraded from shore to shore. Facebook followers of the Association voted for fan favorite. Bragging rights go to Chris Hyldburg and family with their Eagle Mast head. Thanks for your participation and support. It is wonderful to see everyone out enjoying the glory of our healthy lakes while celebrating Independence Day!
People seemed to be having a good time. Below are pictures of the boats that passed by. Mt. Chocorua is showing off in the background of most of the pictures.
