Our Annual Meeting took place on August 1 this year. It featured a recap of all of the work our association has done in the past year. Below is a brief summary of some of the information that was shared at the meeting.
Strategic Plan
Goal 1: Protect water quality within the Wentworth-Crescent watershed.
Goal 2: Expand land conservation efforts to protect sensitive and strategic lands within the watershed.
Goal 3: Build a shared understanding and responsibility for water quality by educating the watershed community through regular communications and learning opportunities.

Watershed Management Plan
Our new 2026 Watershed Management Plan has been published and is available to view on our website here.
Highlights include a deep-dive into sampling results, recommended directions for the Wentworth Watershed and our association, and reports on the major concerns of community members.
Wentworth Estates Project
The Wentworth Estates Project, featuring an all new boat ramp, 20+ check dams, and better drainage systems has been completed. This area was a key concern for nutrient loading, and this project will help address many of the issues that were contributing to that.
Shoreline Revegetation Project
We have completed our first shoreline revegetation project at Pleasant Valley Lodges. These projects help to keep our lake cleaner by limiting runoff while adding beauty to your shoreline.
Milfoil Harvesting and our New Mini DASH Boat
Our new Mini DASH boat has hit the water and made milfoil harvesting much easier.
Water Sampling Results
Our initial phosphorus goal level has been reached! Sampling results show a statistically significant decrease in phosphorus in Lake Wentworth!
Crescent Lake, though, is a different story. Crescent Lake saw an increase in phosphorus levels over the same time period. The many possible reasons for this are highlighted in our new Watershed Management Plan.
Cyanobacteria
Please refer to our website for information on and images of different cyanobacteria blooms. Always remember: when in doubt, stay out!
Invasive Species Alert
The Spiny Water Flea has been identified in nearby lakes, including Lake Winnipesaukee. To keep our lakes clear of this species, please inspect all vessels and fishing equipment before using them in our lakes.

Land Management Committee Mission
To provide ongoing management of existing properties and evaluate offers of property donation or donation of conservation easement. Watch real estate market for environmentally sensitive land to conserve by purchase.
